Thank you for your time and attention at the Simms Dealer Summit.
The threat of mining to our precious waters and fisheries is a critical issue in our industry. Together, we have a unique opportunity to protect one of the world’s most iconic rivers, the Yellowstone. There is a bill in Congress, the Yellowstone Gateway Protection Act that will permanent protect 30,370 acres of public land next Yellowstone National Park in key tributaries to the Yellowstone River.
To accomplish our goal of passing legislation to permanently protect these public lands from dirty gold mining this year, we are asking MT Congressman Greg Gianforte to introduce a clean companion bill to the Yellowstone Gateway Protection Act as soon as possible.

We look forward to him taking immediate action to move this issue forward in the House of Representatives.”
